We love small businesses. Businesses provide jobs and promote the economy. Businesses train individuals in ways that allow them to provide for their families. Businesses provide meaningful work for people who otherwise would be dependent on others for their basic needs. Culwell Legal is a small business: we know first-hand that starting and operating a successful business is not easy. Regardless of the size of the business we represent, we strive to provide effective legal services at reasonable rates. Some successful businesses could be even more successful with an outside eye to review their business documents. Other businesses find themselves in unwanted legal situations where counsel is needed. Collections work is usually all about enforcing a contract or a civil judgment. For our business clients, we handle collections on their accounts to keep money flowing in and keep the business healthy. For our legal clients, it is not enough for us to obtain a judgment against a company or an individual in court. We need to pursue the collection of that judgment so our client can have the actual relief they had been seeking from the time they decided to file a complaint. We handle collections through payment plans with debtors, or when necessary, wage garnishments or bank account freezes. If you are a debtor seeking information about your debt, be advised that we are debt collectors seeking to collect a debt, and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. We are able to take that task off of your plate and handle it ourselves, whether that be through amicable negotiations with the debtor or through more severe methods such as court-ordered garnishment or freezing a bank account. Whatever is necessary, we will always act professionally and will not engage in the more infamous methods of collecting that many consider harassment. Our job is merely to enforce a contract or agreement to pay, and we don’t take things personally. We can often accept collection cases on some type of contingency fee basis, and we can provide legal advice on how to improve your collection rate going forward.
